India won the five-match T20I series 2-1 after the IND vs AUS 5th T20I at The Gabba, Brisbane, was called off due to rain. Only 4.5 overs were played, with openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill putting on a 50-run stand before bad weather stopped play.

India Wins Series 2-1

In the IND vs AUS 5th T20I, Abhishek Sharma became the fastest batter to reach 1,000 T20I runs in terms of balls faced, while Shubman Gill struck four boundaries in a single over. India captain Suryakumar Yadav and coach Gautam Gambhir celebrated their fifth consecutive bilateral T20I series victory.
