The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced disciplinary action following the incidents during the Asia Cup 2025. Haris Rauf was suspended for two matches after being found guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct. Rauf was found guilty of making provocative gestures towards Indian supporters during matches on September 21 and 28, which violated Article 2.21 of the ICC Code of Conduct. His actions were reviewed by Match Referee Richie Richardson, leading to a two-match ban and the addition of demerit points.
Haris Rauf Suspended, Suryakumar Fined
Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav was fined 30% of his match fee for comments made after India’s victory on September 14. The ICC stated that such behaviour brings the game into disrepute and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining respect and integrity in international cricket.
