After India’s historic World Cup triumph, a big question arose among cricket fans about who is paying more to the Indian women’s team — the BCCI or the ICC. The answer is now clear. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a massive cash prize of Rs 51 crore for the victorious women’s team, surpassing the ICC’s prize money of USD 4.48 million (around Rs 39.78 crore).

Reward for Indian Women’s Team
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the announcement, adding that the gesture reflects the board’s appreciation for the team’s remarkable performance in the 2025 Women’s World Cup. The reward will go to players, selectors, and support staff led by Amol Muzumdar.
The final match saw Harmanpreet Kaur’s team defeat South Africa by 52 runs at the Dr DY Patil Stadium, marking India’s maiden Women’s World Cup victory.
