Rohan Bopanna’s Journey
Born in Coorg, Karnataka, Bopanna began playing tennis at the age of 11. From practising in local courts to shining on international stages, his story reflects true perseverance. Over his career, he won two Grand Slam titles — the 2024 Australian Open men’s doubles with Matthew Ebden and the 2017 French Open mixed doubles with Gabriela Dabrowski. He also represented India at the 2016 Rio Olympics and in multiple Davis Cup campaigns.
Even though Rohan Bopanna retires from professional tennis, his contribution continues. Through his tennis academy and events like UTR Tennis Pro, he aims to mentor young talent and strengthen Indian tennis.
