Jemimah Rodrigues Leads India Women to World Cup Final 2025

India defeated Australia by five wickets in the Women’s World Cup 2025 semifinal in Navi Mumbai on Thursday. Chasing a target of 338, Jemimah Rodrigues led India’s remarkable win with an unbeaten 127, guiding the team to victory in 48.3 overs. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur supported her with a crucial 89 as India entered the final against South Africa on Sunday.

World Cup Final 2025

Australia started strongly as Phoebe Litchfield smashed a brilliant 119, supported by Ellyse Perry’s 77 and Ashleigh Gardner’s quick 63, guiding the team to a big total of 338. India’s chase looked in trouble early, but Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur turned it around with a game-changing 167-run partnership. Richa Ghosh added quick runs in the final overs, and Amanjot Kaur hit the winning boundary to seal the chase. The victory knocked out defending champions Australia and sent India into the Women’s World Cup 2025 final.
