Spiritual leader Sadhguru recently shared his candid thoughts on Yash’s casting as Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Speaking with producer Namit Malhotra, he questioned the choice, saying, “I don’t know how Yash became Ravana. I know him very well. A villain always means he has a blunt nose and a huge stature. Yash is a handsome man.”

Namit defended the decision, explaining that Yash was selected for his “superstar appeal.” He added that the actor could effectively capture the many shades of Ravana — a character defined by immense knowledge, power, ego, and arrogance. Sadhguru further added humorously, “Somehow, have you noticed that villains always have a blunt nose and not a sharp nose?”
His remarks have sparked conversations about how physical traits and personality perceptions often influence casting choices in mythological cinema.
