Bollywood singer and music composer Sachin Sanghvi of the Sachin–Jigar duo, known for chartbusters like Param Sundari, Stree 2, Thamma, Malik, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, and Bhediya, was arrested on October 23. He is accused of allegedly sexually assaulting a woman after promising her a role in a music album and marriage. The complaint, filed by a woman in her 20s, states that Sanghvi contacted her on Instagram in February 2024, later calling her to his studio, where the alleged assaults occurred multiple times.
The FIR also includes claims of coercion and a forced abortion. Initially registered at the Vile Parle Police Station, the case was transferred to the Santacruz Police for jurisdictional reasons.
Sachin Sanghvi’s Lawyer Denies Allegations
Although Sachin has not reacted to the matter, his lawyer, Aditya Mithe, has dismissed the accusations, calling them baseless and unsubstantiated. Meanwhile, Sanghvi’s Instagram account remains deactivated.
