Thamma Review
Cast- Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal
Director- Aditya Sarpotdar
Duration- 2 hours 28 minutes
Ratings- 2 stars
Thamma arrives with high expectations — a star-studded cast featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui — but unfortunately, the film fails to deliver on its promise. The movie tries to blend emotion, drama, and suspense, but loses direction midway.
Performances
Ayushmann Khurrana does his best to breathe life into a poorly written character. His charm and natural screen presence stand out, but even he can’t save the film from its sluggish narrative. Rashmika Mandanna gives a sincere performance and shares decent chemistry with Ayushmann. Paresh Rawal brings moments of emotional depth and comic relief, proving once again why he’s one of Bollywood’s finest veterans. However, despite being cast as the villain, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is severely underutilized. His limited screen time and poorly developed backstory completely waste his potential.
What Didn’t Work
The storyline is the weakest link. The plot feels stretched, predictable, and lacks connect. The pacing dips after the first half, making it hard to stay engaged. The script fails to explore the film’s central theme deeply, and the climax feels abrupt and unsatisfying.
Verdict
Despite its promising cast and glossy presentation, Thamma lacks the soul and storytelling strength needed to make an impact. A missed opportunity that leaves you wanting more.
