Nepal Heavy Rainfall: 52 Dead as Landslides and Floods Hit Multiple Areas

At least 52 people have died in eastern Nepal in the past 24 hours due to landslides and floods caused by heavy Rainfall in Nepal. Koshi Province was the worst affected, with 37 deaths, while Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces also faced heavy rain. Rivers overflowed, roads were damaged, lightning struck, and rescue teams were deployed to help affected people across the region.

Nepal Heavy Rainfall has blocked trails, damaged roads, and disrupted transportation, especially in Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces. Rescue teams from the Nepal Army and Armed Police Force are assisting stranded residents. Trekkers in the Everest and Langtang areas are advised to use alternative routes. The government announced monetary relief for families of the deceased and free treatment for the injured.
