Kantara Chapter 1 started strong at the box office on 2 October. Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, the film explores the ancient folklore of the Kantara forest. Produced by Hombale Films, it also features Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram, and Rakesh Poojari. After the first part grossed Rs 400 crore, this prequel was released with very high expectations.
Kantara Chapter 1 Opening Day Collection
Kantara Chapter 1 earned Rs 60 crore worldwide on its opening day, including Rs 21 crore from Hindi markets, as per ‘Sacnilk’. Kannada occupancy was the highest at 88.13%, followed by Telugu at 75.34% and Tamil at 71.42%. Malayalam recorded 66.61%, while Hindi stood at 29.84%. With this strong start, Kantara Chapter 1 is set for a major box office run and wide audience attention.
