India sharply criticised Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday over his remarks on Kashmir and the Indus Waters Treaty at the United Nations. Indian diplomat Petal Gahlot called Sharif’s address “absurd theatrics” and accused Pakistan of glorifying terrorism. She reminded the UN of Pakistan’s history of shielding terror groups and highlighted its links to Osama bin Laden and other global terror networks.

India Hits Back at Pakistan PM UN Speech
Gahlot said the Pakistan PM UN speech ignored Pakistan’s role in protecting a terror group responsible for attacking tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, earlier this year. She stressed that Pakistan’s support for terrorism at the UN cannot be overlooked. The Indian diplomat urged the international community to recognise the facts and hold Pakistan accountable for backing such activities.
