Quinton De Kock Comes Out of ODI Retirement, Named in South Africa Squad vs Pakistan

Quinton de Kock is back in South Africa’s white-ball setup. The wicketkeeper-batter, who retired from ODIs after the 2023 World Cup, has been selected for the upcoming Pakistan tour, according to Cricinfo. De Kock scored 594 runs in the 2023 World Cup and has since focused on T20Is and franchise cricket, with his last T20I being the 2024 World Cup final against India.

South Africa coach Shukri Conrad called De Kock’s comeback a significant boost.Everyone knows the quality he brings, and having him back can only benefit the side,he said. De Kock has confirmed he is eager to continue representing South Africa in white-ball cricket.
