Revised Exam Schedule
The revised SSC CGL examination schedule now impacts nearly 28 lakh candidates registered for this highly competitive government recruitment test. Candidates affected are urged to regularly check the official website – ssc.gov.in – for updates regarding re-examination admit cards, revised centres, and further instructions.
Why Did SSC Cancel the Exam?
SSC clarified that cancellations at select centres were necessary to ensure fairness and credibility in the recruitment process. The Commission stated that the decision was taken after candidates reported technical glitches, mismanagement, and infrastructure failures at certain venues.
Previous Postponements and Ongoing Issues
This is not the first time candidates have faced such difficulties. Earlier, the examination scheduled between 13 and 30 August was postponed to 12 September following protests over poor management during SSC’s Selection Post Phase 13 examinations. Issues included system crashes, faulty biometric verification, non-functional hardware, distant centre allocations, and inadequate arrangements.
With the SSC CGL Tier 1 examination now rescheduled, the focus shifts to ensuring smooth conduct across all centres. For lakhs of government job aspirants, this test remains a crucial step towards securing a career in central services.
