Delhi Police are investigating the theft of a Golden Kalash valued at around Rs 1 crore from a park inside the Red Fort on Tuesday. The incident occurred near Gate No. 15 during a Jain religious ceremony, while devotees were performing rituals. The Kalash weighs approximately 760 grams of gold and contains 150 grams of diamonds, rubies, and emeralds with intricate carvings. Authorities confirmed that the theft took place in the park area, not inside the main fort.

Investigation Underway
Police have reviewed CCTV footage capturing the suspect’s movements and confirmed the individual’s identity. An FIR has been filed under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. Authorities stated that an arrest is expected shortly, and the investigation continues to recover the stolen Golden Kalash and hold those responsible accountable.
