Brazilian footballer Neymar is set to inherit a staggering fortune of 1 billion Dollars (Rs 8,300 crores in Indian rupees) as per the will of a 31-year-old businessman from Rio Grande do Sul who died childless. The billionaire, who formalised the document at a notary’s office in June 2025, expressed a deep personal connection with Neymar, praising him as genuine and family-oriented. The estate, including properties, investments, and shares in major companies, is currently under judicial review to confirm the inheritance.

According to reports, this transfer will be taxed and may face legal challenges. One of the richest athletes in the world, Neymar has an estimated net worth of 6.2 billion Brazilian Reals (846 million euros and Rs 10,400 crores in Indian rupees), which is further increased by his 2024 contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. This will earn him 665 million Brazilian Reals (90.7 million euros and Rs 11,172 crores in Indian rupees).
