Param Sundari Review: Okay, fam, let’s get straight to it— ‘Param Sundari’ kicks off with major promise. The movie starts fun and has that vibe that makes you think, “Yup, this one’s gonna be a rollercoaster.” But then… boom! The film suddenly shifts gears and starts evoking déjà vu from ‘Chennai Express’. Like seriously, was the director binge-watching SRK-Deepika reruns before writing this? Because the inspiration is way too loud. Now, rom-coms are supposed to be effortless, right? Cute banter, sizzling chemistry, and that aww factor. But here, the romance feels… well, a bit forced.

Performances

Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra, you two are no newbies—we have seen you shine. Siddharth, we are still not over your brilliance in ‘Shershaah’! But in ‘Param Sundari’? Both of you went into full dramatic overdrive. The overacting honestly made some scenes painful to sit through. Like chill guys, we get it, but less is sometimes more.
On the bright side, Manjot Singh is literally the lifesaver here. Every time he pops up, the movie suddenly feels fun and fresh. His comic timing is so natural that you wish he had more screen space. Without him, the film would have been a total drag.

Final verdict

Visually, it’s colourful, peppy, and does keep you hooked for a bit. But once the story starts repeating the seen-that-done-that formula, the excitement fades. By the second half, you’re low-key checking your phone more than watching the screen. ‘Param Sundari’ isn’t unwatchable, but it’s definitely not living up to its hype either. It’s that kind of film you watch once, have a few laughs, and then completely forget about the next day.
