Football fans of India, get ready for an unforgettable experience! This November, Lionel Messi will be visiting Kerala for an international FIFA friendly match after 14 years. Messi will return to India for the first time since 2011, when Argentina took on Venezuela in Kolkata. The Argentine Football Association has announced that the Kerala clash will form part of three fixtures lined up for the November FIFA window.
The team will also play in Luanda, Angola. The opponents for all three fixtures are still to be confirmed. Coach Lionel Scaloni will once again guide Messi and the world champions.
Safety Measures in Place
Kerala Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman has confirmed that all the necessary safety measures are in place. The AFA has also assured that the tour will go ahead with a new sponsor. The announcement comes after earlier reports claimed Messi and his team had declined the invitation. Fans are now eager to see the football legend play on Indian soil once again.
