Mission Sudarshan Chakra
PM Modi announced a new defence project called Mission Sudarshan Chakra. Inspired by Lord Krishna’s Sudarshan Chakra, this mission aims to build India’s advanced defence shield, similar to the Iron Dome system. By 2035, the system will be fully developed in India to protect key areas and respond to terrorist threats.
GST Reforms
Modi said major GST reforms will be introduced around Diwali. These changes are expected to lower taxes on essential goods, ease the burden on small businesses, and support consumers. A special task force will also be set up to modernise governance and accelerate economic growth.
Rozgar Yojana for Youth
PM Modi launched the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana to create jobs for young people. The Rs 1 lakh crore scheme plans to generate 3.5 crore jobs in the next two years. First-time young workers under this programme will receive Rs 15,000 financial support.
Demography Mission
Highlighting the issue of illegal migration and population imbalance in border regions, Modi announced a high-powered demography mission. This programme will focus on national security and protecting the rights of Indian citizens.
Nuclear Energy Expansion
Modi also revealed that India will increase its nuclear power capacity tenfold by 2047. Work has already started on 10 new nuclear reactors to meet future energy needs and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
