Mohit Suri’s romantic drama ‘Saiyaara’ has set the box office on fire with a record-breaking Rs 83 crore (net) in just three days. Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film’s unexpected success has made it one of 2025’s biggest openers. The film opened with Rs 21 crore on Day 1 and saw impressive growth, collecting Rs 25 crore on Saturday. Sunday saw a massive jump, clocking in Rs 37 crore, as per early estimates.

The film has outperformed Suri’s earlier hits like ‘Ek Villain’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’, and now sits just behind major blockbusters like ‘Chhaava’, ‘Housefull 5’, and ‘Sikandar’. ‘Saiyaara’ also shattered debutant records, surpassing the lifetime earnings of earlier launches like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra in ‘Student of the Year’. The film is now nearing the Rs 95 crore benchmark set by ‘Dhadak’, which marked the debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter.
