Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh confirmed his participation in the upcoming war drama ‘Border 2’ by posting a behind-the-scenes video on his official Instagram account on Wednesday. The video comes in response to an ongoing rumour that he was dropped from the project following backlash over his recent film ‘Sardaar Ji 3’. The controversy began on June 22, when he posted the trailer of ‘Sardaar Ji 3,’ which features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. After that, the trailer received criticism on social media.
Diljit shares a clip from the ‘Border 2’ set
After the trailer release, several media reports claimed that the producers of the film were planning to replace Dosanjh due to the controversy. The production team did not issue any official statement at that time. However, Dosanjh’s latest video directly counters those claims. He shared a clip on his Instagram handle, in which he steps out of a vanity van wearing an army-themed formal suit and walks towards the shooting area for a dance sequence. The video confirms that the film is ongoing and Dosanjh remains in the lead role.
