Among the Indian students who were evacuated, student Amaan Azhar said he was grateful to be back. “War is not a good thing. It kills humanity,” he told ANI. Families praised the Indian government. A father from Rajasthan said he was thankful to see his son, an MBBS student, return home. He also urged help for those still stuck in Iran, especially in Tehran. Evacuations there remain challenging.

With rising tensions between Israel and Iran, India has boosted efforts to bring its citizens home. Iran has promised safe land passage as its airspace remains closed. Over 4,000 Indians are in Iran, with many studying medicine. The government continues to work on more evacuations.
