Businessperson Sunjay Kapur, the ex-husband of actor Karisma Kapoor, passed away on Thursday. The 53-year-old reportedly suffered a heart attack during a polo match in England. It is said that he accidentally swallowed a bee during the game, which may have triggered the attack. The news was confirmed by business consultant Suhel Seth.

After hearing of his demise, Karisma’s family and close friends rushed to be by her side. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan visited Karisma at her Mumbai home. Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora were also seen outside the residence, offering their support.
Sunjay Kapur was the chairman of Sona Comstar. The company shared that he was a visionary leader whose legacy will be remembered. Sunjay was earlier married to Nandita Mahtani, then to Karisma Kapoor, with whom he had two children. He later married Priya Sachdev, and they had a son together in 2018.
