COVID-19 cases have been rising in India and on Friday, the Delhi government issued an alert. It directed hospitals in the national capital to have sufficient beds, oxygen, medications, and vaccines. Pankaj Singh, Delhi’s health minister, revealed that 23 new COVID cases had been reported in the city. He also mentioned that the administration was investigating the ailments to see whether the patients were city residents or had a travel history.
Guidelines
- For genetic sequencing, all healthcare facilities need to send all positive COVID-19 samples to Lok Nayak Hospital.
- All hospitals must be prepared in terms of bed availability, oxygen supply, antibiotics, other medications, and vaccinations.
- All equipment, including ventilators, Bi-PAP, oxygen concentrators, and PSA, must be working.
- The health department stated that all metrics must be reported on a daily basis via the Delhi state health data management portal.
