The Padma Awards 2025 ceremony was held on Monday at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi, with President Droupadi Murmu presenting the honours. The prestigious event celebrated individuals across fields, including notable names from the Indian entertainment and music industry.
Celebs who won Padma Awards 2025
Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, dressed in traditional Andhra attire, and Ajith Kumar, seen in a formal suit, were awarded the Padma Bhushan. Veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and classical dancer-actress Shobhana also received the Padma Bhushan for their contributions to the arts. Legendary singer Pankaj Udhas was honoured posthumously, with his wife accepting the award on his behalf.
Musicians Arijit Singh and Ricky Kej were conferred the Padma Shri, marking a proud moment for Indian music fans. The entire ceremony was streamed live on YouTube, allowing viewers across the country to witness the celebration. Many others from diverse fields such as medicine, sports, and business were also recognised during the grand event.
