It’s good news for MS Dhoni fans! Thalla is all set to captain Chennai Super Kings for the rest of IPL 2025. Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out with an elbow fracture. Head Coach Stephen Fleming confirmed the news on April 10, ahead of CSK’s home game against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Gaikwad was injured on March 30 during a match against Rajasthan Royals. He was hit on the elbow by a delivery from Tushar Deshpande. Although he played the next two games, scans later revealed a fracture. Gaikwad shared a video message for fans where he said the team is in good hands with Dhoni and asked fans to keep supporting CSK.

This is a big setback for CSK as the team has already lost four out of their first five matches. They are currently ninth in the points table and Gaikwad’s absence will be felt, especially in the top order. He has been CSK’s top run-scorer in three of the last four seasons.
