Priyansh Arya has taken the Indian Premier League (IPL) by storm! In just his fourth IPL game for Punjab Kings (PBKS), the southpaw smashed a sensational 39-ball century against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), hitting nine sixes and seven fours. His aggressive batting saw him plunder 22 runs off Matheesha Pathirana in a single over, completing his century in the process. He eventually fell for 103 off 42 balls but walked back to a standing ovation. His century is now the second-fastest by an Indian in IPL history.
Who is Priyansh Arya?
Before his IPL breakthrough, Priyansh was already making waves in domestic cricket. He was the highest run-scorer in the inaugural Delhi Premier League, scoring 608 runs in ten innings, including a remarkable six-sixes-in-an-over feat. Despite going unsold in the 2023-24 IPL auction, PBKS picked him for Rs 3.8 crore in 2024, and he’s quickly proving his worth.
