Ranveer Allahbadia Denied Passport Release

Ranveer Allahbadia

The Supreme Court has refused to release the passport of popular podcaster and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. Allahbadia is under investigation for controversial remarks made on the show ‘India’s Got Latent’. The court stated it would reconsider his plea only after the investigation concluded. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta assured the investigation would close within two weeks.

Ranveer Allahbadia’s trouble continues

As per reports, Ranveer’s lawyer, Abhinav Chandrachud, argued that the passport restriction was affecting his livelihood. Seeking permission to travel abroad for his shows, Allahbadia offered an undertaking to maintain ‘decency’ in his content. The court maintained that allowing travel could delay the probe. While declining immediate relief, the court extended interim protection from arrest for cases filed against him.

Last week, he resumed The Ranveer Show, vowing to uphold morality and decency. He shared a video message thanking fans for their support and said that he will be more conscious while creating content going forward.
