Netflix’s latest TV series, ‘Adolescence’ has been garnering praise globally. The show follows the story of a 13-year-old boy who kills his classmate after she rejects his advances. The four-episode-long series was directed by Philip Barantini and created by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham. The series has now been added to the school curriculums in the United Kingdom as part of a government-sponsored scheme.
Why addition of ‘Adolescence’?
As per Variety, the Prime Minister of the UK, Keir Starmer, said “As a father, watching this show with my teenage son and daughter, I can tell you — it hit home hard. It’s an important initiative to encourage as many pupils as possible to watch the show.”
