Performances

With this performance, Akshaye Khanna proves once and for all that he is far from underrated—he is a powerhouse of talent who deserves every bit of acclaim.

What Didn’t Work

The first half of the film struggles to maintain momentum, with a slower pace that might test the patience of some viewers. However, the second half more than makes up for it, delivering a gripping and emotionally charged experience. Be warned—the latter part of the film is intense and violent, staying true to the historical realities of Sambhaji’s life.

‘Chhaava’ is a film that not only entertains but also educates, reminding us of the sacrifices and valour of our ancestors.
