19 US Democratic lawmakers, including Indian-Americans Ro Khanna, Raja Krishnamoorthi, and Pramila Jayapal, have urged President Donald Trump to reset ties with India. In a joint letter, they said recent US tariff increases of up to 50 per cent on Indian goods have strained bilateral relations, raised prices for American consumers, and disrupted key supply chains. The lawmakers emphasised that the US–India partnership is vital for trade, defence, and regional stability.
Lawmakers Urge Better India Ties
